Hilda Galvan begins term as Chair of Texas Women's Foundation

Hilda Galvan, Partner-in-Charge of Jones Day's Dallas Office, recently assumed the role of Chair of the Board of the Texas Women's Foundation, a leading driver of meaningful social and economic change for women, girls, and families in Texas.

Ms. Galvan is a nationally recognized trial lawyer with more than 25 years of experience representing technology companies in intellectual property litigation in courts across the country. She is rated as one of the top intellectual property litigators in Texas by Chambers & Partners, Best Lawyers in America, Texas Super Lawyers, and the IAM Patent 1000.

Ms. Galvan's longstanding service to her community includes roles as: trustee for the University of Texas Law School Foundation; member of the board of the Dallas Hispanic Law Foundation and Parkland Hospital Foundation; member of the Executive Committee for the Center for Women in the Law; and Board Chair of the Dallas Regional Chamber. In 2020, she received the Louise B. Reggio Award, the highest honor awarded by the Dallas Women Lawyers Association.

The Texas Women's Foundation, founded in 1985 as the Dallas Women's Foundation, is one of the world's largest women's funds, with assets over $36 million. Since 2013, the Foundation has awarded more than $27.6 million in grants and has impacted 90,000 women and families who have benefited from their leadership and economic security initiatives.
