BoyarMiller is pleased to celebrate Jill Willard Young, the 2021 recipient of the Distinguished Alumnus Award from Henderson High School. The honor recognizes her extraordinary achievements in her profession and her contributions to others and the community. Young received the award in Henderson, Texas during the annual Homecoming festivities and stayed to lead a discussion on a career in law with the high school seniors.
A litigator with more than two decades of experience, Young represents clients in probate litigation, as well as commercial and civil litigation matters. For over 25 years, Young has served in various community leadership positions including for The Presbyterian School, Episcopal High School, and Texas Exes, where she was the third woman president in the group’s history.
“My experience at Henderson was formative for my career,” said Young, class of 1984. “I am very proud to have graduated from Henderson High School and continue to respect what my education did for me in my career, and the values it instilled in me as a person.”
She has been listed in numerous peer recognition rankings such as in US News & World Report Best Lawyers, Texas Super Lawyers, and Houstonia Magazine as a Top Lawyer.
