HOUSTON — A man alleges a Mercedes auto dealer failed to sell him the customized car he had contracted to purchase.

Fred Farah filed a complaint Dec. 16 against Mercedes-Benz of West Houston alleging breach of contract, fraud and other claims.

Farah alleges in his complaint that in 2019, he began working with Mercedes West to purchase a customized Mercedes G-Class SUV which would be constructed to his specifications. He further alleges he gave the defendant a $1,000 deposit for the vehicle was being shipped from Europe and that the defendant showed no objections to his financing or application.

Farah claims that when he went to finally pick up  the car on the agreed upon day, Mercedes-Benz West informed him they could not sell him the vehicle. He further claims the defendant failed to sell him the car because that particular style and model of vehicle was in great demand and could be sold at a higher price to another buyer and because of his Middle Eastern descent. Farah alleges Mercedes-West breached their contractual obligations after accepting his deposit and financing.

Farah seeks monetary relief between $250,000 and $500,00, interest and all other just relief. He is represented by Arden Morely of The Morely Law Firm in Stafford.
