AUSTIN—The State Bar of Texas has announced the results of its statewide 2022 judicial poll.
At the direction of the Texas Supreme Court, the State Bar of Texas conducted a nonpartisan straw poll of contested Supreme Court, Court of Criminal Appeals, and courts of appeals district races on the 2022 election ballot. An electronic ballot was sent to all active members of the State Bar of Texas.
For Supreme Court Place 3, incumbent Justice Debra Lehrmann (3,339) leads challengers Erin Nowell (1,850) and Tom Oxford (567).
For Supreme Court Place 5, Justice Rebeca Aizpuru Huddle (2,649) trails Amanda Reichek (2,730).
For Supreme Court Place 9, Julia Maldonado (2,439) leads David Schenck (1,431) and Evan Young (1,664).

The judicial poll is intended to improve and better inform the public about the legal system and judicial administration in Texas.
