Law Firms & Legal Departments Working Collaboratively to Advance DEI
Blank Rome Director of Diversity & Inclusion Krystal Studavent Ramsey will serve as a panelist for the Pennsylvania Bar Institute’s DEI Policies & Initiatives in Law Firms live webinar, being held Wednesday, June 1, 2022, from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. EDT.
About the Program
Diversity, equity, and inclusion (“DEI”) policies alone aren’t enough to move the needle and have enough impact to accelerate positive change and cultural growth, which is direly needed in the legal industry—and as stewards of the law, is expected to be part of our ethos. Clients are looking for firms that are moving beyond merely focusing on diversity and combining their diversity strategy with inclusion and equity as complementary priorities.
Firms, large and small, are acknowledging the reality that promotion of DEI is not only a moral imperative but also an essential element to remaining competitive in a crowded marketplace and fast-changing world.
This program will show how to convert initiative concepts into action, develop long-term and sustainable solutions, and foster industry change by collaborating with legal departments to advance DEI, including the following areas:
- Building the proper infrastructure
- Taking an integrated and systemic approach to DEI strategy: embedding throughout employment lifecycle
- Client engagement and partnership
- How to measure progress: industry benchmarks and programs
- Talent recruitment and retention: developing a robust training regimen
- Examples of effective initiatives
- Lauren H. Lacey, The Hershey Company
- Danielle Mundekis SHRM-CP, Eckert Seamans
