Husch Blackwell is pleased to announce that Senior Counsel Maddie Thomas has been elected Chair of the Houston Bar Association Energy Law Section for 2022-2023.
Thomas has extensive experience in the energy industry. She handles a variety of transactional matters, with a current focus on renewable energy investments. She also counsels clients on a wide array of corporate and real estate issues related to the industry. Thomas is a member of the firm’s Financial Services & Capital Markets practice group and is based in the firm’s virtual office, The Link.
As an active member of the Houston Bar Association (HBA), Thomas led the effort to rename the Energy Law section, formerly known as the Oil, Gas & Mineral Law Section; with more than 800 members, the Energy Law Section is the HBA’s largest and most active. She is also serving on the council of the HBA Real Estate Law Section and is a member of the HBA Mergers & Acquisitions Section.
