Jones Day's Hilda Galvan selected for induction into the Dallas Business Hall of Fame® by Junior Achievement of Dallas

Hilda Galvan, Partner-in-Charge of Jones Day’s Dallas Office, has been selected as a 2023 Dallas Business Hall of Fame inductee by Junior Achievement (JA) of Dallas. The ceremony in February will mark the 25th anniversary of the Dallas Business Hall of Fame®.

The Dallas Business Hall of Fame® funds JA programs that equip young people with employment and entrepreneurship skills. The program prepares young people for future work, teaches them how to think entrepreneurially, and ensures they have the tools to be financially capable adults.

“It is an honor to be selected for this recognition at a time when preparing the next generation of business leaders is most critical,” said Ms. Galvan. “It also reflects our firm’s unwavering support and hard work to ensure that the regional economy thrives and grows at all levels.”

Ms. Galvan, a nationally recognized trial lawyer, has represented technology companies in intellectual property litigation in courts across the country for more than 25 years. She has served as lead counsel in the enforcement of patent portfolios as well as defense of infringement allegations. Her cases have involved various technologies, including electronics, software wireless communication, and semiconductor processes, among others.

Ms. Galvan's long-standing service to her community includes roles as trustee for the University of Texas Law School Foundation, member of the board of the Dallas Hispanic Law Foundation and Parkland Hospital Foundation, Board Chair of the Texas Women’s Foundation, and Board Chair of the Dallas Regional Chamber. In 2020, she received the Louise B. Reggio Award, the highest honor awarded by the Dallas Women Lawyers Association.
