Tim Silvester, an associate in Jones Day's Business & Tort Litigation Practice, was selected to participate in the Leadership Houston Class of 2023.
Mr. Silvester focuses his practice on complex commercial litigation and disputes in state and federal courts. His practice spans various industries, including energy, technology, and finance, and his experience includes litigating disputes involving commercial contracts, class actions, and bankruptcies. Before joining the Firm in 2021, he served in the U.S. Army Judge Advocate General's (JAG) Corps, where he handled high-stakes trials and litigation. As a complex litigation team chief and senior legal counsel, Mr. Silvester directed hundreds of criminal and administrative investigations. He also served as advisor to The Judge Advocate General of the U.S. Army and as ambassador to the executive and legislative branches.
Leadership Houston is a ten-month leadership development program that was founded in 1982 by the Houston Chamber of Commerce to identify and bring together future leaders from different communities within the greater Houston area, with the goal of collaboratively engaging in projects to improve the quality of life for all Houstonians.
