Bradley is pleased to announce that partner Meghan Dawson McElvy has been elected Vice Chair of the Houston Bar Association’s (HBA) Energy Law Section for the 2023-2024 bar year.

The HBA’s Energy Law Section is comprised of more than 800 members who focus their practice on various aspects of energy law. The section regularly sponsors CLE programs throughout the year as well as fall and summer receptions. Ms. McElvy is an active member of the section and has previously served as Secretary and Treasurer of the organization.

Ms. McElvy represents clients in a wide range of energy, construction and commercial litigation matters with a focus on energy litigation. She provides strategic counsel to energy clients on disputes arising from virtually every aspect of shale plays and horizontal drilling throughout Texas and the United States. Ms. McElvy’s practice also extends offshore, where she counsels clients regarding offshore decommissioning obligations for Gulf of Mexico exploration and production facilities. She also works with clients on international energy arbitration matters, including those subject to ICC and UNCITRAL arbitration.

Bradley’s Energy Practice Group is cross-disciplinary and helps clients negotiate and develop successful projects across the world in the dynamic energy industry. In terms of transactional support, Bradley’s team offers a comprehensive approach to energy projects – from project finance through development and construction to compliance and regulatory counsel. On the disputes front, Bradley’s team has extensive experience handling a wide range of energy disputes involving oil and gas development activities throughout the United States and abroad. Bradley’s energy attorneys possess a deep knowledge in the areas of traditional fuel sectors and renewable energy sources.
