Holland & Knight represented MBF Healthcare Partners II L.P. and its portfolio company Palm Medical Centers in Palm’s expansion into Texas through the acquisition of two longstanding Fort Worth-based primary care practices, Texas Family Medicine and Fort Worth Primary Care. The acquisitions were announced on June 6.

Palm Medical Centers, headquartered in Coral Gables, Florida, is a provider of value-based, capitated primary care services through its network of 32 medical centers across eight counties in Florida that serve more than 50,000 combined Medicare Advantage and managed Medicaid patients.
The acquisitions of Texas Family Medicine and Fort Worth Primary Care mark Palm's debut in Texas and are the first phase of the provider's initiative to expand its clinical model throughout the North Texas area, which will continue in 2023 and 2024 with several additional clinic openings and acquisitions. Palm will operate under the name of Palm Primary Care Texas in Texas.
