Robert B. Thomson Jr. has joined the law firm of Steptoe & Johnson PLLC as Of Counsel in the firm’s Woodlands office. He joins the firm’s Litigation Department and brings a sophisticated general and civil litigation practice to the firm.

Thomson has broad experience representing clients in a number of courts across the state of Texas and in military proceedings around the world. He has served in the Army National Guard of both Texas and Louisiana in the roles of Command Judge Advocate, Chief of Legal Assistance, Foreign Claims Commissioner, Defense Counsel, Trial Counsel, Administrative Law Counsel, and Operational Law Counsel. He was awarded the Bronze Star Medal for his service in Afghanistan.
Thomson earned his law degree from the South Texas School of Law Houston and his bachelor’s degree from the University of Louisiana at Monroe.
