Alfred Blue, an associate in Thompson Coburn’s Dallas office, recently concluded his participation in the 2023 U.S. Bank Spotlight on Talent program. The year-long initiative focuses on growing early-career diverse lawyers through professional and leadership development.
During his time in the program, Alfred and a cohort of associates from around the country spent time networking and engaging in leadership and goal-setting activities. The final program wrapped up in Minneapolis with a closing dinner with U.S. Bank law division attorneys and a full day of programming, including a conversation with Senior Executive Vice President and General Counsel Jim Chosy, and a professional development session with Director of Outside Counsel Relationships Bernardine Lai.
Alfred represents clients in all phases of state and federal litigation and arbitrations. He also develops litigation strategies to resolve disputes in a timely and effective manner. Alfred focuses his practice on complex commercial and business litigation, employment litigation, and product liability/mass tort litigation. Before joining Thompson Coburn, Alfred served as a senior trial attorney with a major insurer, successfully managing an insurance defense caseload from inception to resolution, including preparing and trying as first chair more than 20 jury trials of various complexities. Alfred leads depositions of lay and expert witnesses, defends motions in oral arguments, and participates in hearings and mediations.
