HOUSTON - Two years ago, Dawn Villarreal was injured on the front steps of Pappadeaux Seafood in Houston.

On Dec. 4, she filed a lawsuit against Pappas Restaurants seeking up to $1 million in damages.

According to her petition, on Dec. 5, 2021, Villarreal was at Pappadeaux Seafood when she was injured. She asserts that the defendants should have known of the dangerous conditions on its premises, “namely the poorly lit area around the front steps.”

Villarreal alleges the defendants negligently failed to warn her.

She is suing for her past and future medical expenses, mental anguish and disfigurement.

The Roberts Markland law firm represents her.
