HOUSTON - A trip and fall lawsuit has been brought against MAA Almeda Plaza.

Seeking up to $1 million in damages, Jennifer Figueroa filed her suit on Jan. 8 in Harris County District Court.

According to the lawsuit, on Jan. 2 Figueroa was at the defendant’s gas station when stepped into the hole that fuel tankers use to refill the underground gas tanks, causing her to fall.

She claims there were no warning signs in the area, and that the defendant negligently failed to correct the dangerous condition.

She is suing for her past and future medical expenses, pain, impairment, lost wages and disfigurement.

Attorneys Matthew Morris of the Daspit Law Firm represents her.
