Dallas attorney Jerica Steward has been selected as one of 14 associates to participate in the 2024 U.S. Bank Spotlight on Talent program. The year-long cohort experience focuses on growing early-career lawyers through professional and leadership development.

This year’s program will kick off in Minneapolis at U.S. Bank headquarters with networking, leadership and goal-setting activities with bank attorneys, its general counsel, chief diversity officer and other bank leaders.

“As we kick off our eighth year of this program, we are more excited than ever to invest in the careers of an impressive group of attorneys from around the country through our immersive year-long Spotlight on Talent program,” said Jim Chosy, senior executive vice president and general counsel for U.S. Bank. “We’re committed to supporting the advancement of rising talent not only within our own practice, but at our partner law firms and believe this unique cohort experience will help accelerate the growth and development of these attorneys.”

Throughout the year, the cohort will participate in monthly events, including leadership meetings, practice group roundtables, mentoring, and the opportunity to present a CLE to the U.S. Bank Law Division. Spotlight participants also will strengthen their knowledge of the U.S. Bank business and develop stronger relationships with Law Division professionals through attendance at regular meetings.

"I'm thrilled to be selected for the U.S. Bank Spotlight on Talent program and look forward to this opportunity for my professional development, especially alongside such talented diverse lawyers,” said Jerica. "It will be a chance to establish meaningful relationships and a memorable experience in my career path.”

Jerica's practice includes strategic M&A transactions and assisting clients with general corporate matters. She has experience in drafting purchase agreements, leading due diligence efforts, drafting ancillary documents, assisting with corporate compliance matters, researching corporate and transactional legal issues, and establishing new business entities.

Cohort participants have three to six years of experience and practice in an area relevant to legal services applicable to U.S. Bank business.

The Spotlight on Talent program will conclude at the end of November.
