The Texas Lawyer has awarded Shook Associate Lakshmi Achari as an On the Rise winner of the 2024 Texas Legal Awards. Achari, based in Houston, practices product liability litigation, focusing on the pharmaceutical and medical device industries.
Achari is also heavily involved in the legal community. She is the co-chair of the Houston Young Lawyers Association’s First Generation Committee and a member of the Houston Chapter of the South Asian Bar Association. During law school and as an undergraduate, Achari participated in moot court teams, and won multiple speaker awards including Best Speaker at the Saul-Lefkowitz Moot Court Competition Dallas Regional.
The Texas Legal Awards celebrate the trailblazing attorneys who have left a mark on the legal landscape of Texas. The awards recognize individuals who have not only shaped the law but have also achieved extraordinary outcomes for their clients.
Achari will be recognized by the Texas Lawyer at the awards dinner on October 15 in Dallas, Texas.
