Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP, a full-service national law firm with offices from coast to coast, is pleased to welcome partner Janice Suchyta to its office in Houston, Texas. Suchyta joins from Baker Donelson and will work in the firm’s Healthcare practice group.
“Janice is a welcomed addition to our Houston office and will play a major role in growing our Healthcare practice in Texas and throughout the U.S.,” said Houston office managing partner Craig Dillard. “She is an established attorney in the industry, and we’re proud to welcome her to our team.”
Suchyta focuses her practice on health law, with an emphasis on advising providers on strategic, regulatory, and operational issues. Throughout her career, she has represented clients in the healthcare industry and her experience as counsel for a large health center provided clients with an unmatched perspective to navigating complex healthcare matters in addition to advising clients on cybersecurity, privacy and data protection issues, telehealth, data strategy, and licensure and accreditation of healthcare facilities, among other important matters. She has also assisted clients in the development and implementation of collaborative care models, clinically integrated networks, patient safety organizations, and employer sponsored on-site health clinics.
“I am thrilled to join Nelson Mullins in the Houston office and the growing Healthcare group,” Suchyta said. “I look forward to collaborating with the talented team of attorneys at the firm and supporting our health law clients both nationally and in Texas.”
Nelson Mullins opened its Houston office in April 2024 with 10 attorneys. Since then, it’s more than doubled in size with the current office headcount at 29.
