Tom Burton recently joined Steptoe & Johnson PLLC’s Business Department as Of Counsel at the firm’s Dallas office. Burton has more than 25 years of experience in corporate, real estate, and transactional work.

Tom has extensive experience in corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, financing and lending, contracts, securities, antitrust, licensing, and counseling employers on human resources issues. Burton previously served as Chief Legal Officer for one of the country’s largest collision repair companies, and served as outside general counsel for several businesses in various industries.
Burton earned his law degree from the University of Texas School of Law and his bachelor’s degree from Southern Methodist University. He is licensed to practice in Texas.
