Benesch is proud to announce that Steven Moss, a partner in the Firm’s Labor and Employment Practice Group, represented the Austin American-Statesman in negotiations with the Austin NewsGuild to reach agreement on a first labor contract between the Statesman and its front-line journalists. This agreement marks a significant milestone as the parties reached a tentative agreement on a first contract after three and a half years at the bargaining table, culminating in a 21-hour marathon bargaining session before a federal mediator in Austin, Texas. Statesman reporters, photographers, columnists, producers and planners ratified the contract on Thursday, November 21.
