Foley & Lardner LLP is pleased to announce Jen Cafferty Patton has been promoted to Chief Operating Officer (COO) to bolster the firm’s administrative leadership and advance its strategic priorities.
Patton, who previously served as the firm’s Chief Talent Officer, will be responsible for the leadership and strategic oversight of the firm’s administrative and operational functions. Her focus will be on advancing key initiatives, innovation, and driving operational excellence across the organization, while continuing to champion the firm’s unique culture.
Rebecca Bradley, who previously served as the firm’s Director of Professional Development, will assume the role of Chief Talent Officer. In this role, Bradley will lead the talent function — including recruitment, professional development, human resources, benefits, coaching, and DEI.
“In their new roles, Jen and Rebecca will focus on enhancing our strong culture and supporting the firm’s continued evolution and business growth,” said Daljit Doogal, Foley chairman and CEO. “Jen’s promotion demonstrates the unique connection Foley fosters between talent and operational excellence, and I look forward to continuing to work closely with both of them and driving Foley forward.”
Patton is based in Foley’s Houston office. She joined the firm in 2019 as its Chief Legal Talent Officer before being promoted in 2022 to Chief Talent Officer. Prior to joining Foley, Patton served in various roles at Vinson & Elkins, culminating as director of professional development, served as General Counsel for the Supreme Court of Texas, and practiced law at Baker Botts. She began her career as an investment banking analyst at Goldman Sachs before attending law school.
“I’m honored to step into this role and continue working closely with Daljit and the rest of our leadership team to drive ongoing growth and success. Foley’s dynamic culture is built around client service and I look forward to fostering an environment of collaboration, excellence, and innovation,” said Patton.
Bradley is based in Foley’s Chicago office. She joined the firm in 2012 as an associate assisting clients in a range of complex litigation matters. She then became Director of Legal Recruiting and, in 2020, was promoted to Director of Professional Development, where she led the firm’s orientation, integration, associate evaluation, mentoring, and firmwide training and CLE initiatives designed to support the growth and career development of attorneys and business professionals.
“I’m excited to take on this role and collaborate with our talented teams across the country to empower our people and ensure our attorneys and business professionals have the resources they need to succeed and best serve our clients,” said Bradley.
