Helen O. Turner Counsel | Troutman Pepper Hamilton Sanders LLP

Helen Turner, an attorney in Troutman Pepper Locke’s Consumer Financial Services Practice Group, has been recognized as a Premier Women in the Law Rising Star by the Association of Women Attorneys Foundation (AWAF). The Premier Women in the Law Rising Star Award honors exceptional women in the law within their first 10 years of practice.

Turner was nominated by peers who attested to her professional accomplishments, dedication to the mentorship of young women in the legal field, and community involvement. She focuses her practice on advising clients as they navigate the complex and ever-changing financial and banking landscape. In addition to representing national banks, trustees, and mortgage servicing firms in state and federal courts in a variety of matters, her diverse practice also includes representation of screenwriters, directors, and producers throughout the life cycle of deals for scripted and unscripted film and television projects. Turner is a member of the Bretton Woods Committee and its Future of Finance Working Group, which is a high-level organization of international leaders in finance. As a Bretton Woods Committee member, she engages with international financial institutions — including the World Bank, International Monetary Fund, and Bank for International Settlements — on investment, financial stability and governance, and the impact of emerging technologies on the global capital markets and climate finance.

AWAF is a nonprofit organization with the primary purpose of funding pro bono fellowships and law school scholarships. The organization recognizes female attorneys who contribute to the Houston legal community through professional achievement, community involvement, and those who have played an active role in advancing other women in the law.
