Troutman Pepper Locke advised Agile Growth Equity, LLC, and its affiliates in the sale of Kobus Inc. and Kobus Services Limited, the global leader in gas and water pipe pulling technology, to Dresser Utility Solutions, a portfolio company of First Reserve and leading provider of global infrastructure technology to water and gas utility and industrial customers.

Kobus will continue to operate in its current locations in Houston, U.S., and Tamworth, U.K., delivering a global solution for underground gas and water pipe replacement and addressing the challenges of aging utility infrastructure, especially the mandated removal of more than nine million lead service lines across the U.S. Kobus’ innovative Pipe Puller technology allows for faster, safer, and more cost-effective pipe replacement than other replacement methods.

The Troutman Pepper Locke team that represented Agile Growth Equity was led by Jennie Simmons and Ashley Lopez, and included Marshall Moorhouse, Alex Dillard, Laura L. Ferguson, Elizabeth Casey, Nick Jennings, Grace Elliott, Eric Larson, and Mark Backofen.

Consistently recognized as a top-tier national practice, Troutman Pepper Locke’s corporate attorneys regularly handle strategic deals for Fortune 100 corporations, and middle and lower middle market transactions for private equity clients. Core areas of service include mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, corporate governance, securities laws compliance, capital markets transactions, and other significant domestic and cross-border transactions, as well as general corporate counseling.
