Ninth Court affirms Baptist Hospital summary judgment win in suit over hot coffee burns

BEAUMONT – Today, the Ninth Court of Appeals affirmed a summary judgment win in favor of Baptist Hospitals of Southeast in a lawsuit alleging a patient was burned by hot coffee.

BEAUMONT – A Baptist Hospital patient who spilled hot coffee on himself, resulting in a few treatable blisters, wants the Ninth Court of Appeals to reverse a summary judgment ruling in favor of the health care provider.
