• Beaumont men accused of refusing to pay student loan

  Two Beaumont men are being sued for allegedly failing to repay nearly $18,000 in student loans.The National Collegiate Student Loan Trust 2007-4 filed a lawsuit Aug. 19 in Jefferson County District Court against Ryan Shields and Harumi Nover. Shields allegedly borrowed money from Union Federal Savings Bank to attend Northwest Vista College with Nover guaranteeing the loan.
