A Jefferson County woman is suing over claims she was injured in a collision.
Shirley Watkins filed a lawsuit Oct. 24, 2014, in Jefferson County District Court against Terry Daily, citing negligence.
According to the complaint, Watkins was driving on North 11th Street in Beaumont on Nov. 13, 2013, when her vehicle was struck by a vehicle driven by Daily. Watkins says she sustained injuries to her shoulder, neck, spine and body. The complaint states Daily was cited for failure to control his speed, and he is accused of negligence and negligence per se.
Watkins seeks actual, compensatory and exemplary damages, lost wages, interest and costs of court. She is represented by attorney Gilbert T. Adams III of Gilbert Adams Law Office in Beaumont.
