Construction company wants paid for go-kart facility

Contractor

A League City construction company is suing over claims it has not been paid for building an indoor go-kart facility.

Tannos Construction & Development filed a lawsuit Dec. 30, 2014, in the Galveston Division of the Southern District of Texas against Houston Karting & Entertainment, doing business as Pole Position Raceway, citing lack of payment for work performed.

According to the complaint, Tannos entered into a contract with Houston Karting on April 1, 2013, to build an indoor karting course for the defendants in Webster. The plaintiff subsequently completed the course but was not paid for the work, the suit states.

Tannos Construction seeks damages and attorney fees, and is requesting a jury trial. Tannos is represented by attorneys David E. Cowen and Amanda D. Wright of McLeod, Alexander, Powel and Apffel in Galveston.
