A Harris County man and his company have sued a tenant, alleging breach of contract.
Paul Ammons, of Houston, individually and on behalf of his company, Czar Enterprises, filed a complaint Jan. 7 in Galveston County District Court against United Rentals Inc., alleging negligence and unlawful conversion of his property.
According to the complaint, Ammons leased real estate in League City to the defendant in July 1999. A concrete batch plant on the premises, which had previously provided regular income to Ammons, was discovered removed, along with other structural alterations, the suit states. This violated the lease agreement, the suit states, and the defendant also sold the batch plant without permission, allegedly further reducing the property’s value.
Ammons seeks damages between $200,000 and $1 million, plus attorney fees and costs. He is represented by attorney Thomas Dickinson of Dickinson & Wheelock in Houston.
