The Greater Beaumont Chamber of Commerce is inviting all seafood lovers to take part in the annual Lobsterfest, and this year attendees should not only wear Hawaiian shirts but their dancing shoes as well.
For the first time, the 2007 event, scheduled for April 20, will include a dance in addition to the golf tournament and lobster dinner.
Fun begins at 7:30 a.m. at the Brentwood Country Club. Golf foursomes can play for $650, which includes lunch provided by Johnny Carino's Italian Grill and four dinner/dance tickets. Tee times are 7:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.
A tennis tournament will begin at 1 p.m. with an entry fee of $150 per person. The fee includes lunch and one dinner/dance ticket.
That evening, a reception begins at 6 p.m. at Ford Park. Dinner and dance tickets are $60 per person, with reserved tables of 10 available for $1,000.
Dinner will be served from 7 to 7:45 p.m. Dancing to the sounds of the Night & Day Orchestra lasts from 8 to 11 p.m.
Hawaiian attire is encouraged.
