BBB hosts lunch seminar next month

The Better Business of Southeast Texas will present a "Lunch & Learn" training seminar for business leaders in August.

"Surviving and Thriving with Change: Steps to Understanding and Mastering the Inevitable" will be held on Aug. 9.

The event will be a special opportunity for managers, supervisors, human resource personnel, administrative assistants, support staff, sales people, and others seeking to be more effective and productive in life and career

Lunch begins promptly at 11:30 a.m. at the MCM Elegante' Hotel & Conference Center – Fountainview Room, IH-10 West at the Washington exit in Beaumont. Training begins at noon and concludes no later than 1 p.m.

Attendees will:

Discover the two basic kinds of change

Learn the reasons for becoming a "change skilled" person

Be enlightened as to why change is resisted and nine reasons why it is resisted

Discover why everyone CAN experience change, and the steps to becoming "change-skilled"

Learn the keys to surviving "organizational" change, and practical tips to being a "change-survivor"

The trainer will be Michael Clayton, president/CEO of the Better Business Bureau of Southeast Texas for more than 10 years. He has facilitated hundreds of seminars and training opportunities and addressed more than 5,000 audiences in 39 states, Canada and overseas. Clayton is a Certified Seminar Leader, a professional member of the National Speakers Association and American Seminar Leaders Association and certified Ziglar Performance Group trainer.

Registration includes lunch, training materials, networking opportunities and 60 minutes of fast paced learning and professional development.

Registration is $30 per person through July 26, after that date seats increase to $35. Advance reservations are required. Checks and major credit cards accepted. No cancellations or refunds after August 1.
