Seeking to recover $79,890.94 on a past due account, Allied Electrical Contractors of Beaumont Inc. has filed suit against Johnson Controls Inc.
AECB filed its breach of contract suit on April 8 in the Jefferson county District Court.
According to the plaintiff's petition, AECB had been supplying Johnson Controls with goods for over a period of extended time. When the bill was due, Johnson Controls refused to pay.
"More than 30 days have elapsed since demand was made on Johnson Controls to pay the amount owed, and defendant still refuses to pay all or part of the debt," the suit said. "Further, defendant has not protested any part of the debt.
"Plaintiff has employed Daniel D. Clayton to bring this suit and is entitled to reasonable attorney's fees from the Defendant in such amount as may be proven at time of trial together with interest allowed by law."
The case has been assigned to Judge Donald Floyd, 172nd Judicial District.
