Pipe supplier sues local company to collect $300,000 debt

Alloy Products Corporation has filed a breach of contract complaint against Golden Triangle Pipe and Water Supplies, alleging it has failed to pay more than $300,000 due for pipe valve, fittings and other pipe components.

Represented by James M. Juranek of The Juranek Law Firm in Houston, APC claims it delivered the materials to Richard Construction Company in Beaumont as Golden Triangle instructed it to do, but has not received payment for the materials.

"APC requires that its customers pay for all purchases on account within 30 days of invoice," the complaint filed Nov. 5 in Jefferson District Court states. "As of October 24, 2008, Golden Triangle account balance of $310,873,93 remained unpaid, with the vast majority of that balance almost 60 days overdue."

In addition to the amount it is owed, Golden Triange is seeking prejudgment and post-judgment interest, costs, attorney's fees and additional relief the court deems just.

The case has been assigned to Judge Bob Wortham, 58th District Court.
