A Louisiana man has filed suit against Rowan Companies, alleging his fingers were crushed in a crane mishap.

Mark Dummond claims he was working for Cross Services at Rowan Companies' yard in Sabine on Nov. 17 when a Rowan crane operator dropped a gear into a gear box, causing Dummond's fingers to be crushed.

According to the complaint filed July 22 in Jefferson County District Court, Dummond suffered physical pain, mental anguish, loss of wages and an impaired earning capacity.

In addition, he has incurred medical costs and lost his ability to perform household services, the suit states.

He will be represented by Francis I. Spagnoletti of Spagnoletti and Company in Houston.

The case has been assigned to Judge Bob Wortham, 58th District Court.
