Kent Walston
The Jefferson County Bar Association recently announced that Nederland lawyer W. Kent Walston has been selected by the State Bar of Texas to be a member of LeadershipSBOT.
The State Bar of Texas chooses 19 lawyers from across Texas each year for membership in this prestigious program. Those selected have already demonstrated leadership and a dedication to making a difference in the legal profession, their community and society.
Participants will attend meetings and training sessions where they will receive information geared towards helping them to become effective and respected leaders in their profession and in their communities.
Walston, a graduate of Port Neches-Groves High School, earned his undergraduate degree from Lamar University and his law degree from Baylor University School of Law.
He has been practicing in Jefferson County for 12 years and is a partner in the Branick and Walston Law Firm.
Walston currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Jefferson County Bar Association and is an active volunteeer for the Jefferson County Bar Association Pro Bono Program.
