HOUSTON – While playing with her grandkids at the Altitude Trampoline Park in Katy, Christine Grae swung from a trapeze and fell into a ball pit, allegedly injuring herself.

Alleging gross negligence, Grae filed suit against the owner of the park in Harris County District Court back in September 2023.

Court records show the case has now been set for trial in July.

According to Grae’s second amended petition, on Dec. 10, 2021, she visited the Altitude Trampoline Park. While playing with her grandkids, an employee handed her a trapeze without offering any instructions, guidelines, or warning.

“Plaintiff grabbed the trapeze without any secure fall protection or harness and fell into a ball pit,” the suit states. “No employee or agent present at Altitude Trampoline Park that day assisted her after she was injured.”

The case was originally set for trial in February, court records show.

A month prior, however, the parties filed a joint motion for continuance, asserting more time was needed for discovery. The parties requested an October trial setting.

In her suit, Grae claims that as a result of the defendants' negligence, she has suffered serious injuries that have caused her to experience pain, suffering, lost wages, mental anguish, and physical impairment.

She is seeking damages in excess of $250,000, but less than $1,000,000, plus interest, court costs, and any other relief the court deems proper.

Grae is represented by attorney Jack Nugent of the Pierce Skrabanek law firm in Houston.

The defendants in the case are GNG Times FW HS and MMB Trampoline Investments.
