Cornyn: Holder is wrong about courts as anti-terror weapon

WASHINGTON In response to Attorney General Eric Holder's statement that the United States' "most effective terror-fighting weapon is our Article III court system" at the American Constitution Society Convention, U.S. Senator John Cornyn, R-Texas, member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, released the following statement:

"Attorney General Holder is wrong. Our 'most effective terror fighting weapon' is the work of the men and women in uniform and those in the intelligence community who are actually fighting terrorists. Congress has made clear that our civilian criminal justice system is not the place to bring captured terrorists to justice."
