Driver sues trucker for red light rear-end collision

Robert Evans has filed suit against Sandifer Gas and Service and Marcus Sandifer, a truck driver employed by the company, for an automobile collision that transpired nearly two years ago.

The suit was filed March 26 in Orange County District Court.

According to the suit, on April 28, 2008, Evan was traveling on FM 105 in Vidor. He had stopped at a red light when Sandifer, while in his course and scope of his employment, "failed to control his speed and slammed into plaintiff."

Evans alleges Sandifer negligently failed to maintain a proper lookout and Sandifer Gas was negligent in its hiring and training of him.

His is suing for past and future medical expenses, mental anguish and lost wages.

He is represented by attorney Jonathan Juahn.

The case has been assigned to Judge Pat Clark, 128th Judicial District.
