Vidor resident sues over auto collision

Michael Guidry, a Vidor resident, has filed suit against his Bridge City neighbor, Charles Nixon, for allegedly running a stop sign and causing an automobile collision.

The suit was filed March 26 in Orange County District Court.
According to the suit, on April 19, 2008, Guidry was traveling on FM 1142 in Bridge City when Nixon allegedly "failed to yield the right of way at a stop sign and slammed into plaintiff."

The suit accuses Nixon of negligently failing to keep a proper lookout and of disregarding a stop sign.

Guidry is suing for past and future medical expenses, mental anguish and lost wages.

He is represented by attorney Jonathan Juhan.

The case has been assigned to Judge Dennis Powell, 163rd Judicial District.
