Plumbing company sued over payment for heavy equipment rental

GALVESTON - A Houston heavy equipment rental company seeks $22,270.29 from a League City plumbing business and its owner, recent court documents say.

United Equipment Rentals Gulf L.P. alleges that All Stages Plumbing of Texas LLC and Robert Trumbature failed and refused to pay the amount in question for certain heavy equipment used through the summer last year.

The suit was filed March 31 in Galveston County District Court.
It says the plaintiff and the defendants have had ongoing business relations until the reported dispute arose in late 2009.

The original petition argues that "all conditions precedent have been performed for recovery of the amount owed to the plaintiff by the defendant" and "all rentals, services, and goods... all the charges charged therefore were reasonable, usual, and customary."

The plaintiff has suffered economic damages, it adds.

Houston attorneys David M. Medearis and H. Dan Johnston are representing United Equipment Rentals Gulf.

The case has been assigned to Galveston County 212th District Court Judge Susan Criss.
