The owner of American Remodeling has filed suit against Bridge City resident Peter Jorgensen, alleging he has not paid him for work completed.
Danny Swain filed his suit April 13 in Orange County District Court.
Court papers show that on March 30, 2009, Swain and Jorgensen entered into a contract to perform construction and remodeling work on Jorgensen's Bridge City home.
"To date, defendant has failed and refused to compensate plaintiff for the work he performed on defendant's property, in violation of the written agreement of the parties," the suit states.
Swain alleges Jorgensen breached the contract and owes him "at least $60,000."
He is suing for actual damages and attorney's fees.
Swain is represented by attorney Rodney Townsend Jr.
Judge Pat Clark of the 128th Judicial District has been assigned to the case.
