Suit filed over auto pile up

Juhan

Katherine McDaniel is suing motorist Roxanne Preble and truck driver Nely Marcantel for allegedly causing an automobile collision two years ago.

The suit was filed April 21 in Orange County District Court.

Court papers show that on May 8, 2008, McDaniel was traveling on Highway 82 in Orange when Preble allegedly "failed to yield the right of way at an intersection and pulled into the path of oncoming traffic.

Preble struck McDaniel and forced her vehicle into the path of Marcantel, "resulting in the injuries and damages complained of herein."

In her suit, Preble says the defendants negligently failed to keep a proper lookout.

She is suing for past and future mental anguish, medical expenses and lost wages, plus all court costs.

The plaintiff is represented by attorney Jonathan Juhan.

The case has been assigned to Judge Deniss Powell, 163rd Judicial District.

Case No. B-100188-c
