An Orange woman is suing the motorist who hit her and the owner of the vehicle.
Teresa Meinlet filed suit against Michael Brown, the man who hit her, and Harvey Dubois, who owns the vehicle, on April 27 in Orange County District Court.
Court papers show that on May 22, 2008, Meinlet was traveling on Highway 87 in Bridge City when Brown allegedly failed to drive in a single lane and slammed into her vehicle.
In her suit, she accuses Brown of failing to keep a proper lookout and also accuses Dubois of negligently entrusting his vehicle to Brown.
She is suing for past and future mental anguish, medical expenses and lost wages, plus all court costs.
The plaintiff is represented by attorney Jonathan Juhan.
The case has been assigned to Judge Pat Clark, 128th Judicial District.
