Bank seeks to recover manufactured home

U.S. Bank has filed suit against Vidor resident Tony Hannon in order to recover a manufactured home.

The suit was filed May 3 in Orange County District Court.

Court papers show that on Dec. 2, Hannon and U.S. Bank executed a note for a manufactured home.

"Defendant defaulted on the contract and was sent notice of the default and given a right to cure," the suit states. "Defendant failed to cure the default and U.S. Bank accelerated the remaining balance of the contract."

As of April 23, the amount owing is $58,215.22.

The lender is asking the court to instruct a county sheriff to take possession of the home and deliver it to the company.

U.S. Bank is represented by attorney Richard McKinney of the Higier Allen & Lautin law firm.

The case has been assigned to Judge Dennis Powell, 163rd Judicial District.
