Mark and Kimberly Gautreaux are suing Harold Bean IV for allegedly slamming into the rear of their motorcycle.
The suit was filed May 6 in Orange County District Court.
According to the petition, the Gautreauxs were traveling on FM 1442 in Bridge City when Bean "was returning to the usual lane of travel after passing, looked away from the roadway and slammed into the rear of plaintiffs' motorcycle."
The couple accuses him of negligently failing to apply his brakes and keep a proper lookout.
They are suing for past and future mental anguish, medical expenses and lost wages, plus all court costs.
The plaintiffs are represented by attorney Jonathan Juhan.
The case has been assigned to Judge Dennis Powell, 163rd Judicial District.
