Woman files suit over rear-end collision

Lisa Berry is suing Kenneth Toups for allegedly rear-ending a vehicle she was riding in last March.

The suit was filed June 15 in Orange County District Court.

Court papers show that on March 23, 2009, Berry was at the intersection of Stillwell and MacArthur in Orange when Toups rear-ended a vehicle in which she was a passenger.

In her suit, Berry alleges Toups negligently failed to keep a proper lookout and maintain a safe distance.

She is suing for past and future mental anguish, medical expenses and lost wages, plus all court costs.

Beaumont attorney Mel Shelander is representing her.

The case has been assigned to Judge Buddy Hahn, 260th Judicial District.

Case No. D-100267-c
