GALVESTON - After hurting himself in a fall at a storage facility in League City, a Harris County man is suing the business and one of its agents.

Randolph Garland's lawsuit against Storage House Storage and Melvin Booker says the plaintiff visited the defendants' premises on July 14, 2008, when he fell in a hidden, grass-filled hole.

The suit was filed July 12 in Galveston County District Court.

"The covered and hidden hole in the ground at or near a walkway posed an unreasonable risk of harm in that the dangerous condition was allowed to remain for an extended period of time prior to the plaintiff's fall," the original petition says.

Garland claims to have suffered physical pain and suffering, mental anguish, medical expenses, and lost wages.

He is represented by attorney Ronald Max Raydon of Houston.

The case has been assigned to Galveston County 405th District Court Judge Wayne Mallia.
