Electric supply company files litigation over debt

Wholesale Electric Supply of Houston filed suit against Golden Triangle Electric last Thursday in hope of recovering almost $100,000 for goods and services rendered.

The suit was filed July 15 in Jefferson County District Court.

Court records show that Wholesale Electric sold Golden Triangle merchandise worth $94,276.46 several months ago.

Wholesale Electric claims Golden Triangle had more than 30 days to respond since demand of the payment was made and "still refuses to pay the debt."

"Defendant promised to pay this account when the (payment was) due but has failed to do so," the suit states.

Wholesale Electric is suing for actual damages and all court costs, including attorney's fees.

The company is represented by Beaumont attorney Daniel Clayton.

The case has been assigned to Judge Donald Floyd, 172nd District Court.
