  • Ganas LLC v. Sabre Holdings Corp., et al

    Ganas is a Texas limited liability company with its principal place of business in Allen.

    The defendants are Sabre Holdings Corp., SAP America Inc., SAS Institute Inc., Scottrade Inc., TD Ameritrade Inc., The Charles Schwab Corp., TiVo Inc., Unicoi Systems Inc., Xerox Corp., Adobe Systems Inc., AOL Inc., Apple Inc., Axibase Corp., DIRECTV, DISH DBS Corp., E*TRADE Securities LLC, Exinda Networks, Fidelity Brokerage Services LLC, Firstrade Securities Inc., Hewlett-Packard Co., iControl, Inc., International Business Machines Corp. and JPMorgan Chase & Co.

    The plaintiff accuses the defendants of willfully infringing on the following patents:

  • U.S. Patent No. 7,136,913 issued Nov. 14, 2006, for object oriented communication among platform independent systems across a firewall over the internet using HTTP-SOAP;

  • U.S. Patent No. 7,325,053 issued Jan. 29, 2008, for object oriented communication among platform-independent systems over networks using SOAP;

  • U.S. Patent No. 7,734,756 issued June 8, 2010, for object oriented communication among platform independent systems over networks using soap; and

  • U.S. Patent No. 7,007,094 issued Feb. 28, 2006, for object oriented communications system over the Internet.

    The plaintiff is asking the court to enjoin the defendants from further acts of infringement and for an award for damages, costs, expenses, interest, enhanced damages and attorney's fees.

    Ganas is represented by Zachariah Harrington, Matthew Antonelli and Larry D. Thompson Jr. of Antonelli, Harrington & Thompson in Houston.

    Jury trial is requested.

    U.S. District Judge T. John Ward is assigned to the case.
