Nurse sues for $750,000 after slip and fall

MARSHALL - A Marshall nurse has filed a lawsuit for more than $750,000 after she slipped in water and fell, fracturing her leg.

Brenda Lagrone and Cecile Lagrone filed suit against Aramark Corp. on Nov. 10 in the Eastern District of Texas, Marshall Division.

The slip and fall incident occurred on July 20, 2010 as Brenda Lagrone was working as a registered nurse at Good Shepherd Medical Center-Marshall. She states the defendants were negligent and caused the incident by allowing the water to be placed on a walking surface, causing her to fall and facture her femur.

The Lagrones are asking for more than $750,000 in damages, court costs and interest.

The plaintiffs are represented by Longview attorney David Robertson. Jury trial is requested.

U.S. District Judge T. John Ward is assigned to the case.
