A total of five new lawsuits against insurance companies over Hurricane Ike damage claims were filed in Jefferson County District Court, Nov. 19-24, 2010.
The following complaints were filed:
Cathleen Frasier of 6655 Val St. in Groves alleges Texas Windstorm Insurance Association denied her claim for foundation, structure, roof, water and wind damages caused to her property after Hurricane Ike struck on Sept. 13, 2008. TWIA denied her claim after assigning Legacy Claim Services and Sabine Claim Services and adjusters Chip Kelly, L.S. Tidwell, Bruce Edmund and Miguel Riveros to investigate, according to the complaint. Frasier will be represented by Gregory F. Cox of The Mostyn Law Firm in Beaumont. Andria Frederickson and Erik von Frederickson of 35 Morrogh Drive in Beaumont allege State Farm Lloyds denied their claim for contents, foundation, structure, roof, water and wind damages caused to their home after Hurricane Ike struck on Sept. 13, 2008. The Fredericksons will be represented by J. Steve Mostyn of The Mostyn Law Firm in Houston. Jefferson County District Court case number: E188-848.
Antonia Jones of 4415 Ironton St. in Beaumont alleges Texas Windstorm Insurance Association denied her claim for foundation, structure, roof, water and wind damages caused to her property after Hurricane Ike struck on Sept. 13, 2008. TWIA denied her claim after assigning Boyle International Claim Management Group and adjusters George Woodard and Valerie Owen to investigate, according to the complaint. Earl and Ruby Hurels of 3275 Posey St. in Beaumont alleges Texas Windstorm Insurance Association denied his claim for roof, structure, water and wind damages caused to their property after Hurricane Ike struck on Sept. 13, 2008. TWIA denied the claim after it assigned Sabine Claim Services and adjuster Benny Brocato to investigate, according to the complaint. The Hurels will be represented by Gregory F. Tiffane Nguyen of 9255 Riggs St. in Beaumont alleges Texas Windstorm Insurance Association denied her claim for foundation, structure, roof, water and wind damages caused to her property after Hurricane Ike struck on Sept. 13, 2008. TWIA denied Nguyen's claim after assigning Specialty Claims Services and Gab Robins North America and adjusters Greg Biaggi and Jack Wester to investigate, according to the complaint.
