Teena Thomas has filed suit against Beaumont resident Brandi Pitts for a motor vehicle collision she allegedly caused last November.
The suit was filed Jan. 4 in Jefferson County District Court.
According to the petition, on Nov. 10, 2009, Thomas was traveling near the intersection of Old Voth Road and Guess Street in Beaumont when Pitts collided with her.
The suit does not state how the incident occurred or how Thomas was injured.
In her suit, Thomas alleges Pitts negligently failed to keep a proper lookout, control her rate of speed, apply her brakes and sound her horn.
Thomas is suing for her alleged past and future mental anguish, pain, lost wages, impairment and medical expenses.
She is represented by Houston attorney Jay Jackson III.
The case has been assigned to Judge Bob Wortham, 58th District Court.
